Applications

Hydrogen as an energy carrier can be used in a wide variety of applications, from tiny (micro fuel cells for mobile phones or medical devices) to huge (grid-scale energy storage). Hydrogen can be stored at low or high pressures, in liquid and even in solid form. When used in a fuel cell to produce electricity, the only emissions are water vapor and heat; there are no greenhouse gases or toxic byproducts. Swiss Hydrogen proposes fuel cells and fuel cell systems for a range of applications, including systems customised to your specifications.

Of course, to be truly sustainable, hydrogen must be produced using renewable energy sources. That’s why Swiss Hydrogen also proposes gas production systems based on water electrolysis. (see Hydrogen Production and Fuelling Stations)
